JUNE
29 – Monday, through Thursday, July 2, Youth Educator Outdoor Training Week, 9:30am – 2pm. Four-day session designed for older youth interested in working at Manitoga or other camps. Introduces basics of outdoor education as well as Russel Wright’s design philosophy and vision for Manitoga. JULY
6 – Monday, through Friday, August 7, Manitoga Summer Nature & Design Camp. Weekdays, 9am – 3pm. Day camp program focusing on nature and the arts for children ages 5-12. 12 – Saturday, 9am – 2pm. Volunteer Landscape Day, Manitoga’s Garden Rooms, led by Designer and Manitoga Board member Joe Chapman. Roll up your sleeves and meet other arborists, horticulturists, garden designers and landscape enthusiasts. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcomed. YEAR ROUND – Self-Guided Hikes. Daily, during daylight hours. Manitoga offers more than four miles of trails designed by Russel Wright. His "garden of woodland paths" has links to the Appalachian Trail. Dogs on leashes are welcome on trails. Trail maps available in kiosk at Manitoga Guide House, 584 Route 9D public entrance. Suggested donation of $5 helps support trail maintenance.
